Well, we all know it’s not The Baads or Bads or Ba****ds of Bollywood, it’s The Bastards of Bollywood, and just like its title, the show slaps hard! 😏 But for the reasons like not offending Google algorithms, I am gonna use the censored version. If you want something uncensored, and if you’re above 18, go watch the show. Spoiler alert: the show is funny as hell and delivers every punch, every cameo, every storyline with perfection.
Feels like Seth Rogen’s The Studio but Close to Home
Seth Rogen’s The Studio was released in March 2025. The moment I saw the trailer of The Ba***ds of Bollywood, it definitely reminded me of the show. And now that I am done with all seven episodes in one sitting, I can confidently say both have the same chaotic vibe that cinema fans will love.
Merging real actors into a fictional storyline was so well done by Aryan. The show has surely made him a name folks will look forward to seeing under the directorial titles.
The Bastards of Bollywood Feeds Industry Gossips Steroids and Puts them to Work
With so much chaos going on every now and then in Bollywood, Aryan had enough material to take advantage of, and he did that so well. I won’t give you spoilers, but some moments will sound familiar and make the whole thing funnier.
There are jokes around nepotism, drugs, paparazzi, and even struggling star kids. All in all, if you’re keeping up with Bollywood gossip, you will find tons of them humorized in this new presentation by the Red Chillies Entertainment.
The Bastards of Bollywood Cast is Huge… But Worth It!
Well, apart from Aryan Khan, the casting credit goes to Karan Mally and Nandini Shrikent. And you might agree on this one too, but Raghav Juyal as Parvaiz overshadowed Lakshya as Aasmaan Singh and Bobby Deol as Ajay Talvar.
He was just too funny when he had to, too sad when he had to, and too much into action when he had to (I am talking about the chase scene….. That was cool AF!!).
Manoj Pahwa was my second favorite after Raghav. There was something about Avtar that only he could justify, and he did that quite well. Sahher Bambba, Mona Singh, Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Anya Sing, Karan Johar, Manish Chaudhari, Rajat Bedi, the Gangster trio, Arshad Warsi as Gafoor Bhai, Vijayant Kohli, and more cast members are bringing their own range of spices, making this whole dish finger-licking. There’s one character you’re going to want to punch in the face the whole time…. Only because the actor played the character a little too well! 😒

Now, Let me Give you a Short Bit of The Ba***ds of Bollywood’s Plot
The show basically follows Aasmaan Singh, a Delhi boy moving to the city of dreams, Mumbai, to become an actor, where his first break comes as the film Revolver. Freddy, played by Manish Chaudhari, is the owner of the company and an evil guy who traps Aasmaan into an unfair contract, making him choose between Freddy’s film franchise or Karan’s movie, where he is paired with Karishma Talvar (Sahher Bambba), the daughter of Ajay Talvar (Bobby Deol).
Ajay Talvar, however, isn’t happy with this pairing and tries to sabotage Aasmaan’s movie to make him exit from the project. Freddy wants the same because Aasmaan refused to give up on Karan’s movie. This puts every character in a pickle and a Bollywood-style Game of Thrones where Aasmaan Singh literally turns into a Jon Snow-style bastard. (You will know at the end why I said that, and it’s going to be worth it!)
Beyond all the drama, the chemistry between Aasmaan and Karishma also keeps you hooked. It’s a typical haters-to-lovers story but offers some touches of its own, some cute, some giggly, and others kinda sad.

Well, My Review? I Loved The Bastards of Bollywood
I have seen 7.6 out of 10 on IMDB, so some might not agree with me on this , but I am giving it almost a perfect score because I enjoyed it from the start to the end. Only one minute of romance was boring in between, but Emran Hashmi sir came and reduced us from that. Now, the half star I deducted because 7 episodes aren’t enough, man…!
Aryan, if you’re reading this, try for 16 episodes next time. But you set a benchmark for yourself, man..! Gotta make sure your next project overtakes your directorial debut.
To put it simply, if Aryan Khan wanted to prove he’s more than a star kid, he just did. The Ba**ds of Bollywood is a riot you shouldn’t miss.
Well, that was my share of yapping.
Now, enjoy the film..!
