Mr. Plankton
(Korean Title: Mr. 플랑크톤)
Premiere Date: November 8
Here’s the romantic comedy that will tickle and pinch at the same time. You’re gonna laugh your heart out, and you’re going to drown in tears too. I restocked my supplies of tissues, you should get that done too. Even though they’re calling it a comedy, my experience with top Korean dramas suggests otherwise.
Let me tell you why.
Hae Jo (Woo Do Hwan), a man drifting through life, and Jae Mi (Lee Yoo Mi), who seems to carry a bit of bad luck with her end up finding each other. The worst part about Hae Jo’s life is, he doesn’t know who his father is.
Even his name ‘Hae-Jo’ means (do-it!), became his name because he was an errand boy since his childhood. Do you see what I am saying? And by the way, it has Oh Jung-se too, the guy always makes me cry with whatever he works in. So, trust me on this, it won’t just be comedy, but it will be absolutely beautiful!
The Fiery Priest 2
(Korean Title: 열혈사제 2)

In this Korean drama, outsider Kim Ji Eun (Kang Na Eon) becomes the manager of an anonymous community app that spills all the school secrets. Premiering on November 10, this one promises to be among the most charming and suspenseful upcoming K-dramas releasing in November 2024.

(Korean Title: 핸섬을 찾아라)

Part of the “2024 KBS Drama Special,” this drama follows Cutie (Oh Seung Hoon). He is a former idol group member in search of another member called Handsome (Hong Jong Hyun) in hopes of a comeback. A comedic family drama that follows the romance between Bong Chul Hee (Lee Yi Kyung) and Jung Hana. Chul Hee is a bachelor from a remote island whose life goal is marriage. Desperate Mrs. Seon Ju

Pi Sun Joo (Shim Yi Young) dedicates herself to her husband’s success but finds herself divorced after his betrayal. If you’re all about justice served cold, Parole Examiner Lee is right up your alley. Go Soo takes on the role of Lee Han Shin, a lawyer-turned-parole officer who’s not here to let money or connections buy anyone’s freedom.
His mission? To make parole fair by keeping unrepentant criminals exactly where they belong. Think of it as a gritty look at the justice system, and the battle of wills that comes with it. Catch this thriller on Viki for a glimpse into a world where redemption must be earned.
When the Phone Rings
(Korean Title: 지금 거신 전화는)

What starts as a marriage of convenience takes a chilling twist when Baek Sa Eon (Yoo Yeon Seok) and Hong-Hee Joo (Chae Soo Bin) get a call they’ll never forget. When the Phone Rings dive into how one ominous phone call can unravel a seemingly smooth setup.

Get ready for The Two Women, a heartfelt drama set in the tense days leading up to the Korean War. Kang Mina and Choi Ri start off as rivals for Im Seo Rim’s love but end up forming a bond that goes far beyond romance. It’s a story of friendship and survival, set against the raw, challenging times of the era. Keep an eye out for the upcoming Viki release and prepare to be moved.
The Trunk
(Korean Title: 트렁크)
Premiere Date: November 29
It has Hyun Bin, I guess that is enough for me to look forward to the drama. But if you still need more reasons, The Trunk’s plot might do that. Ever heard of contract marriages with an ironic twist?
The Trunk is where Seo Hyun Jin’s Noh In Ji, who’s in the business of setting up such marriages, finds herself in a complex situation with Gong Yoo’s Han Jeong Won. They both walk into a “marriage” for different reasons but end up exploring the deeper meaning of connection and loneliness.
With all episodes dropping on Netflix on November 29, this remains among the binge-worthy Korean dramas in November 2024 deserving a place in your “must-watch” list.
