After four successful action-packed installments, there are rumors spreading that John Wick 5 will happen soon. The ten-year-old franchise has created a loyal fanbase that is desperately waiting for the next update, especially after the non-confirmed demise of the titular character John Wick in the fourth saga of the story.
Now, David Leitch and Erica Lee, two of the franchise’s powerhouse producers, have shared some tantalizing comments about the possibility of John Wick 5 happening in the future.
Here’s what John Wick Producers have to say
“That’s a great question. I mean, obviously I’d love more spin-offs and TV shows and exploring all different arenas. First and foremost, I’d love John Wick 5 and figuring out what that movie looks like and what the story is and how we take the franchise to the next level. I think we set this bar so high in 4, and we left it all on the table. I say we burn the house down when we make the movie. So I think to pull it all together, it has to be a great idea and the stars have to align, and there’s a lot of pressure to get that right. So that’s what I’m most hopeful and excited and anxious about. Is [John Wick] dead? I think that that’s subjective. Maybe there’s nothing in that grave. I’m a producer, so we’re hopeful for more.”
The Franchise has gone beyond movies
Well, if you are an avid fan keeping up with the franchise, you might already know John Wick is not entirely dependent upon its movies anymore. The franchise has expanded itself to OTTs and spin-offs with titles like The Continental and Ballerina. According to Screenrant, There are also rumors in the air that a John Wick TV show is happening as well along with a crossover movie between John Wick and Nobody.
