2025’s film calendar is massive with so much to look forward to. Even the list of movies coming out in January 2025 is stunning, packed with titles that are expected to blow minds. From Robert Egger’s legendary Nosferatu to Wolf Man, the horror genre is planning to dominate the month. But comedy is not holding itself back with titles like The Love Scam. But wait until you see the kind of action movies listed among the best Jan 2025 movies. Honestly, I guess this month is going to be super busy.

So, open your calendars, and get ready to mark the dates. Here’s the list of

Wolf Man

The release date for Wolf Man is set for January 17. A reboot of the 1941 classic called ‘The Wolf Man’, Wolf Man 2025 is directed by Leigh Whannell. He also co-wrote the movie with Corbett Tuck, who is well-known for her work on the Insidious franchise. 

As for Leigh, apart from Insidious, you might know him from Saw, The Invisible Man, and Upgrade. The movie stars Julia Garner, Christopher Abbott, and Leigh Whannell himself among other superstars.

The plot of this Blumhouse production’s January 2025 movie focuses on a family approaching a farmhouse at night. On the way, they are attacked and mysterious things start happening. They locked themselves inside the home thinking they were safe- but the reality was different.

If you’re keeping up with news, you might have heard about Bryan Johnson, an entrepreneur with the obsession of keeping himself young. To achieve this, he has invested quite a lot of money into ideas that others might frown upon. Chris Smith has directed a documentary for Netflix that will tell you the story of this man who wants to achieve immortality. 

Chris is credited for acclaimed shows like 100 Foot Wave, Devo, etc. So it will be exciting to see if his addition to the list of Jan 2025 movies will make it to the top or will be frowned upon.

Nosferatu

While in the USA Nosferatu was released on December 25, in the UK it is planned for January 01 for Robert Egger’s next masterpiece to hit theatres. The remake of the 1922 classic features Lily-Rose Depp, Nicholas Hoult, Willem Dafoe, Bill Skarsgård, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. If you’re not familiar with the plot. 

Well, you’re lucky to have entered this territory that is unknown to the story. The plot focuses on Count Orlock being obsessed with a girl and launching a plague to get her. Too much happens between this which will keep you hooked. For some, it might even turn into one of the best January 2025 movies as well (that includes me too).

Henry Danger: The Movie

The infamous Nickelodeon series is joining the slot of movies coming out in January 2025. The plot involves multiple realities, sci-fi portals, and much more. Henry and his new sidekick are stuck in a reality that is not known. There are some battles they have to fight to come back to Dystopia. 

Directed by Joe Menendez, Henry Hart’s movie, co-written by Jake Farrow (Arrested Development fame), Dana Olsen (Inspector Gadget), and Christopher J Nowak (Henry Danger TV series), is hitting screens on January 17, 2025.

It’s a story of what would happen if M3GAN was built for adults seeking human companionship from an Android (well, that’s my guess from the trailer). The horror film features Jack Quaid, Sophie Thatcher, Lukas Cage, and Megan Suri. Sophie’s role Iris is an Android but with no awareness of her being a robot. Jack’s role Josh, on the other hand, feels more like a villain from the plot. 

Well, the truth will come out when the movie screens. Drew Hancock is writing and directing this one, and he has worked on plenty of great titles like My Dead Ex, Blue Mountain State, Mr. Pickles, Suburgatory, etc., which gives so much hope for the movie. Warner Bros has planned a January 31, 2025 release schedule for Companion.

The Love Scam

Planned for a Netflix release, The Love Scam is ready to decore the catalog of Jan 2025 movies with its humor. It’s a story of two brothers buried deep in debt and planning to scam a rich heiress to collect money that can help them save their home in Naples. But unexpected twists come into the picture when romanticism joins the story. Will they stick to their mission or give in to the call of love- Umberto Riccioni Carteni’s direction will answer the question soon in this one.

Den of Thieves 2: Pantera

Christian Gudegast is coming back with his 2018 movie with Gerard Butler making a return as Nick. O’Shea Jackson Jr., Evin Ahmad, and Salvatore Esposito are also in the movie. The plot goes international as Big Nick goes on a hunt in Europe. The mission? A massive diamond heist of the world’s largest diamond exchange. 

There’s a lot of action that is expected to leave even the first one behind. Given the greatness of Christian’s touch to his movies, it might end up becoming one of the best movies coming out in January 2025.
