Best New Movies in March 2025: Don’t Miss These Hits!

March 2025 is rolling in hot with a lineup. So, get ready to spend those bucks you have been saving because I don’t think any of the titles I am talking about ahead can be missed. These new movies in March 2025 offer everything from Bong Joon Ho’s sci-fi weirdness to Disney’s latest princess glow-up.

It’s a month that’s flexing variety, and I’m here for it.

So, movie buffs, open your phone’s calendar—let’s mark those must-see dates together!

Let’s go!

List of the Best New Movies in March 2025

Pomegranate

Directed by WEAM. NAMOU, Pomegranate is the first American Iraqi film that is led by the women talent. Yeah, you heard that right.

So, there’s no better way to celebrate Women’s month than to watch a movie that tells the story of a politically liberal Iraqi woman who has to deal with a bunch of conservative Iraqi Christians in her new neighborhood.

Pomegranate’s Plot also highlights the 2016 US election and Donald Trump’s rise.

It’s a raw, timely story of finding your footing. It might raise some questions, offend some, but that’s the point of strong movies like this one.

So, are movies like Pomegranate something you enjoy?

Tell me below!

Mickey 17

Mickey 17 has me counting the days—Bong Joon Ho’s back! Robert Pattinson plays Mickey Barnes, an “expendable” colonist who dies and clones himself repeatedly on a risky mission to colonize an ice world.

Mark Ruffalo, Toni Collette, Steven Yeun, and Naomi Ackie join the madness.

Hits theaters March 7—clear your schedule!

Personally, among all the movies coming out in March 2025, I am hyped as hell for this one!

Sci-fi fans, you with me?

Disney’s Snow White

The classic tale of Snow White has joined the list of movies releasing in March 2025. The movie brings the original tale of the princess and her dwarf friend to live-action.

Reactions are mixed after the trailer launch, but I guess that’s the new normal.

If you’re new to the tale, it’s the story of Evil Queen (Gal Gadot) trying to poison Snow White due to her jealousy. It’s a musical tale of jealousy, magic, and love.

So, head to your nearest theatres on March 21 and witness the retelling of the saga.

Nostalgia or nah—what’s your take?

Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip

This one’s a riot!

Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip follows the Garcia family—Thom Nemer as Alexander—on a cursed trip to Mexico City.

Directed by Marvin Lemus, it stars Eva Longoria, Paulina Chávez, Cristo Fernández, and Cheech Marin.

It’s hilarious, heartfelt chaos, I can relate to from my own family flops.

Perfect for a March family night—out March 28!

The Alto Knights

Robert De Niro is once again returning to the screens to grace the world with another gangsta role that is definitely going to overshadow every other performance.

Just from the trailer of The Alto Knights was enough to give literally chills!

Barry Levinson directed the movie. The one who directed Dopestick, Bucks County, USA, 30 for 30, Homice: Life on the Street (all rated 8+ on IMDB).

Set in 1950s NYC, it’s a gritty power struggle. Probably will turn out to be your favorite among all the new movies that are coming out in March.

Hits theaters March 21—mob fans, this is your jam!

Could this top your March 2025 list?

Death of a Unicorn

A24’s Death of a Unicorn is bonkers in the best way. Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega play a dad and daughter who accidentally hit a unicorn, sparking a wild power struggle with Rudd’s billionaire boss (Richard E. Grant).

Directed by Alex Scharfman, it’s quirky, dark, and totally my vibe—Will Poulter and Téa Leoni add extra flair.

Out March 28, it’s screaming cult classic.

Will it fall among horror movies or turn into a comedy classic?

Open the map, find the nearest theatre, and find out on March 28.

Plankton: The Movie

Karen the Computer has planned the world domination. Thankfully, our saviour Mr. Plankton can be seen actively in this movie trying to stop her. With him, SpongeBob and the Gal Pals (Pearl, Sandy, and Mrs. Puff) have joined the mission.

Things look serious, so you might have to take them seriously, or don’t, your choice.

But if Mr. Plankton loses the world, you might not make it to other movies coming out in March 2025.

Sad, but that might happen if you don’t hoot a little to show Mr. Plankton some moral support during the movie.

Directed by Dave Needham, this Bikini Bottom blast hits Netflix March 7.

Why I’m Hyped, You Should Be Too!

Well, that’s the lineup!

Mark your calendars and don’t forget to subscribe. I’ve talked about movies that released in January, February, and now March, my watchlist’s a mess, and I love it. Mickey 17 has me starry-eyed, Pomegranate hits deep, and The Alto Knights is pure De Niro magic.

What’s your top pick this month?
