K-dramas to Watch in May 2025: Spring of Youth, Shark: The Storm, and More Exciting Titles

The list of K-dramas coming out in May 2025 is exciting, to be honest. There are fun titles like Spring of Youth and Nine Puzzles that are coming.

The month brings a perfect balance of suspense, comedy, and horror for the fans of Korean dramas. So, it’s time for you to move on from the list of April K-dramas and start looking forward to the fun that awaits you in this new month.

Let me tell you more about these

K-dramas Coming Out in May 2025

Spring of Youth (사계의 봄)

Cast: Ha Yu Jun, Park Ji Hu, Lee Seung Hyub

Airs: May 6, 2025 – Jul 2, 2025

Stream On: Viki

It looks like a feel-good K-drama with an emotional rollercoaster of a plot. The drama focuses on an ex-Kpop idol, Sa Gye, removed from the band, starting life anew as a college student at Hanju University.

He has never been here, but a sudden event forced him to enroll. As he explores this new phase of life, he comes across Kim Bom, a vocalist and keyboardist with a gifted voice. As time passes, Sa Gye puts together a band at the college.

But here’s the thing: the ride isn’t as smooth as it sounds. There’s chaos, rivalry, even jealousy. So all in all, it’s a packed drama that might keep your May packed.

Tastefully Yours (당신의 맛)

Cast: Kang Ha Neul, Go Min Si, Kim Shin Rok

Airs: May 12, 2025 – Jun 9, 2025

Stream On: Netflix

Han Beom U is a successor of some big-a** food company but has no interest in ‘taste,’ all he cares about is culinary honors. By the way, he also runs the best fine dining restaurant in Seoul, I don’t know how.

Mo Yeon Ju, on the other hand, is all about that ‘taste’ Han Beom U doesn’t care about. She cooks the kind of food that shocks the arrogant restaurant owner Han Beom U.

Can relate to Mo Yeon Ju, to be honest. I am all about taste as well, and sometimes end up cooking a culinary award-worthy meal!😉

Anyway, these folks have grown together. I am not saying that, the official synopsis published on MyDramaList says it. So, now I am curious too to see how this K-drama is going to entertain everybody.

Second Shot at Love (금주를 부탁해)

Cast: Choi Soo Young, Gong Myung, Jo Yoon Hee

Airs: May 12, 2025 – Jun 17, 2025

Stream On: tvN

Han Geum Ju thought she drank sensibly, until life made her realize that she doesn’t. From that moment, her journey to sobriety began. Along the way, she comes across her high-school best friend Seo Ui Jun. He isn’t as sweet as he was before, the guy is a heartless now and doesn’t give a damn about Geum Ju’s drinking habits.

That kinda becomes a pet peeve for her, making her investigate the reason behind Ui Jun’s drastic change.

Shark: The Storm (샤크: 더 스톰)

Cast: Kim Min Seok, Lee Hyun Wook, Bae Myung Jin

Airs: May 15, 2025

Stream On: TVING

If you like dark K-dramas, May 2025 is going to be fun for you. After Shark: The Beginning, Shark: The Storm is coming.

The show Cha U Sol’s life after he is released from prison. Once a criminal, Cha U Sol moves to the path of becoming a mixed martial arts champion. How does he do it? That’s the answer this show covers.

So, if you’re in for some fistbusting action, don’t forget to keep an eye out for this one.

Dear Hongrang (탄금)

Cast: Lee Jae Wook, Jo Bo Ah, Jung Ga Ram, Uhm Ji Won, Park Byung Eun, Kim Jae Wook

Airs: May 16, 2025

Stream On: Netflix

This Korean drama presents an emotional tale of two half-siblings, Hong Rang and Jae I. Hong Rang disappears for almost a decade and comes back with no memories of his childhood. For Jae I, the whole thing becomes a source of massive pain, leading her to resolve this mystery.

She has been searching for her brother all this time. Now that he is here, he returns with mysteries that seem to be far more complicated. As the story unfolds, the tale of power struggles, family wealth, and betrayals unravels.

Nine Puzzles (나인 퍼즐)

Cast: Kim Da Mi, Son Suk Ku, Hyun Bong Sik

Airs: May 21, 2025 – Jun 4, 2025

Stream On: Disney+

I Na loses her dear uncle to a murder, but the sadder part is that she had to witness it happen. That also puts her on the list of suspects. The lead investigator of the case was convinced that it was I Na who killed her uncle.

Fast forward ten years, and I Na is now a criminal profiler. She has joined a Criminal Analysis Team at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. Her work has made her popular thanks to her instincts and sharp skills.

But time had to play one last joke. I Na and Han Saem, the lead investigator of I Na’s Uncle’s murder case, are now working together, of course, not willingly. As they work together, tensions arise, and the past is dug deeper.

Our Unwritten Seoul (미지의 서울)

Cast: Park Bo Young, Park Jin Young, Ryu Kyung Soo

Airs: May 24, 2025 – Jun 29, 2025

Stream On: Netflix

This K-drama takes you to the lives of two twin sisters, similar-looking, yet very different from each other. Mi Rae, the elder one, is working at a public corporation where she is known as a perfectionist. Since her school days, she has been the elite one. While the younger sister, Mi Ji, is a promising athlete.

Both sisters have their own lives, their own charades to look after. But one day something happens and they switch their lives. Why? Let’s wait for the K-drama to reveal in May.

Is that all?

Yup! For May 2025, these are the K-dramas you should be worried about.

But if that’s not enough, maybe look into my lists of K-dramas released in previous months like April, March, etc.
