His & Hers is a story that puts your detective skills to the test and still ends up outsmarting you. Or, maybe I am underestimating, but to share my experience, my mind was blown. When the reveal came, which I couldn’t guess even a second before it was told by the creators, I was all in tears and impressed with how beautifully it was written, monologued, and displayed on the screen. And in this His & Hers review, forgive me for this, I so want to discuss the ending. But I care about you, so I won’t. I will insist, really insist, that you go and tune in to the show as soon as you can.

Premiered on January 8, 2026, this 6-episode limited series adapts Alice Feeney’s novel into an experience that gives bookworms and Netflix junkies a thrill that lasts.

Is His & Hers worth watching?

Yes — especially if you enjoy psychological thrillers that reward patience and attention.

But first, let’s talk about the cast and behind the scenes of His & Hers

Netflix poured some real money into bringing some top-notch cast to the show. To the center of the stage, you will see Jon Bernthal as the Lead Detective, Jack Harper, with Sunita Mani as Priya Patel, and his assistant in the whole investigation. Tessa Thompson is the co-lead with Jon in the show playing Anna Andrews, a journalist covering the murder to revive her career after a year-long hiatus.

Additional cast includes Pablo Schreiber, Crystal R. Fox, Chris Bauer, Jamie Tisdale, and more. As of now, there are no official budget reveals from Netflix, but reports suggest a production budget of approximately $35 to $50 million for the entire six-episode run, given the costly talent this show employs.

As for the location, most of the shooting was done in Georgia. If you are from around, you might end up seeing some familiar neighborhoods on the screen.

Here’s a video on how Georgia became the prime location for the shooting of His & Hers!

Now, let me tell you about His & Hers’ plot, and I will keep it spoiler-free

So, the show follows Jack Harper and Priya Patel investigating a brutal murder that happened in the woods. As they solve the mystery, you get to play detective. Soon, the murder brings every lead character into suspicion, including the lead detective and the journalist as well.

That is where your detective mind will start answering questions, but as you find yourself closer to solving the case, a new twist will end up proving you wrong. That happens in at least the last three episodes of the show.

Spoiler Policy: I won’t reveal anymore. Go and enjoy it.

The One Flaw: The Problem with Episode 4

While I found this to be an almost perfect detective thriller, I have to flag Episode 4.

Unlike the rest of the show, which has zero fluff, this episode drags. Without spoiling the specifics, the pacing slows down significantly, and the dialogue feels repetitive compared to the tight writing in the other five episodes. It’s a small bump in an otherwise smooth ride, so power through it.

Final Verdict: Should You Watch Netflix’s His & Hers?

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Well, you might have understood I am quite impressed with the show. Except for episode 4, and a few dialogs in between, I found it an almost perfect detective thriller. The show has decent cinematography, almost no fluff or filler content (except episode 4), and a good pace. It doesn’t bore you, doesn’t offer loopholes, or leave any questions unanswered.

For a Sunday watch, His & Hers is quite a decent watch. But a fair warning, it’s a show made for adults with sexual scenes. So, watch it accordingly, and when you’re done, let me know whether you agree with my review or not.

Where to Watch: Streaming now on Netflix. Tune in before spoilers take over the internet!
