Deadpool & Wolverine Review: Clowning, Cameos, & Carnage!

Watched Deadpool & Wolverine last night, and oh boy the fun I had! But before that, nerds, I am talking to you- this Deadpool & Wolverine review contains spoilers, Shoo away if you haven’t seen it yet, come back later! Unless you’re one evil m*********r! 😈

MCU has finally learned to gamble beyond the typical Disney drama. Deadpool & Wolverine is the proof of it, also the milestone setting up the universe in a direction that was guessed but unknown.

Now, I won’t lie, had my doubts before going to the theater. But boy oh boy- the clowning of the duo got me!

I was giggling so much that even emotional scenes were funny to me.

The movie begins with a tribute to our fallen hero, Logan. The Merc with the Mouth decided to honor him and gave us probably the best MCU opening and intro ever. There’s nothing better than seeing TVA troops getting handled by the red guy.

But what makes a movie fun is not its storyline- if you are looking to make sense out of events, probably plenty of them won’t make sense at all. But cameos, those are fun and almost every hour you will be clapping for someone that you hadn’t expected to see. Brilliant surprises are coming your way, of course not if you continue reading this Deadpool & Wolverine review you du*****k!

Now for those, who are still here- cameos started with Wolverine- not one but plenty. And holyyyy fu*****kkk we had Henry Cavill as Wolverine! I love Hugh as Wolverine but this is Henry- I hope he understands the disloyalty.

Oh, and by the way- the comic-accurate Short King isn’t talked about much in other critics’ reviews– that’s unfair. I guess he would be a great addition to the rest of the movie too if the frames were larger.

Now let’s about the losers of the movie- Mr. Paradox, don’t know what his plan was going under the nose of all-knowing TVA to speed up the destruction of universes? And then calling the most unreliable maniac of a not-even-supervillain for help? Who made this guy in charge?

And, Cassandra, the mighty twin of our very own Charles lived a good life in the void until her desires to destroy reality got out of control. Typical!

Anyway, the drama got us some great cameos. And Sabertooth is not one of them- the guy’s screen time was already revealed in the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer. 😂

The second best surprise in the movie was Chris Evans’s return as Human Torch. And given how Cap was always so serious about the language thing- Johny was his polar opposite. His presence was fun and had enough time to deliver a great addition to the story.

Then we got other casts returning, Jennifer Garner as Elektra, Wesley Snipes as Blade, Daafney Keen as X-23, Channing Tatum as Gambit, Blake Lively as Ladypool 😂, Matthew McConaughey as Cowboy Deadpool 😍, Nathan Fillion as Headpool, and so on!

There were almost 45 cameos in the movie 😂- MCU is quite ready to give it all to revive the universe. Makes sense, given how post-Endgame MCU gems have reduced in numbers drastically.

Kidpool & Babypool

We also had Blake and Ryan’s kids in the movie- remember the baby? That was Olin as Babypool. And Inez appeared as the Screaming Mutant while Kidpool was played by James.

Oh btw, I forgot to mention above- that Hulk vs Wolverine universe, bruh, I hope we get to see that in the future.

But all that fun apart- Deadpool & Wolverine was a fun watch, something I would watch again, and probably again after that if I am in the mood for Deadpool’s typical humor. But for the storyline- it didn’t have much impact. Even the post-credit scene wasn’t as lit as I thought- had expected some Fantastic 4 kinda reveal you know.

My guess is, that now MCU is going to take risks and grab this opportunity that Deadpool & Wolverine has created for its upcoming new releases

How will that work out? We will see that in time!
